Weekday Blowout - The Shams @ Lincoln Hall

For the past year the Chicago Roots Collective has been at the forefront of Americana music here in our city.  The brain child of the Chicago Bluegrass & Blues Festival, the CRC has picked up steam holding events monthly in the Chicago's clubs from Lincoln Hall to Double Door.  Tonight the CRC will be celebrating it's first birthday at the aforementioned Lincoln Hall with roster heavyweights The Shams Band holding down the headlining duties.  The Shams' debut Champagne touches on all things vintage Americana, with hints of rockabilly, garage, & a little bluegrass that should have NPR listeners salivating. With Champagne, The Shams have recorded nine songs that will surely have listeners hooked upon first listen.  Fans of Wilco's 'A.M.', take note.
